Liberty Reel

Liberty has spent the past three years working professionally with dogs and has fallen deeply in love with the pet care industry. She began her journey at Collars as a general caregiver, quickly advancing to lead caregiver and then Assistant General Manager at our Waldo location before stepping into her current role as General Manager of Collars Olathe. She is now beginning her Dog Training apprenticeship under head trainer Jessica Belcher, our certified AKC CGC evaluator and Regional Manager, and is excited to continue expanding her understanding of canine behavior. Liberty is always seeking new ways to better support the dogs in our care and provide every guest with the best experience possible. She cares deeply for each dog that walks through our doors and is always ready to assist both our clients and their pups.

Liberty has a natural passion for guardian and so-called “scary” breeds, with a special place in her heart for Rottweilers. Drawn to their loyalty, intelligence, and powerful presence, she has become a dedicated advocate for the breed. Her two Rottweiler mixes, Lynn and Bug, have only strengthened her love of working dogs, and she is eagerly preparing to welcome a working-line Rottweiler puppy into her home soon.

Lynn and Bug often join Liberty at the resort and take their roles as professional playmates very seriously. “Landshark” Lynn is typically glued to Liberty’s side or greeting guests in the lobby, while “Snug as a Bug” is always ready to charm new friends with a wagging tail and playful bow. Outside of work, Lynn enjoys training for IGP or cuddling on the couch, and Bug is happiest collecting snacks during training sessions.
